Pick a street

Finish one to open the next. New things turn up as you go: cones on level 4, school buses on 6, beach balls on 7, and a fuel tank on 10.

How to play

  • Press the arrow keys to drive. Hold a key down to keep going.
  • On a tablet or a phone, tap the big purple buttons under the map.
  • Drive over a golden star to collect a coin. Every coin is ten points.
  • The green arrow points at your next stop, and the words say NORTH, SOUTH, EAST or WEST.
  • The school bus always waits for you. It can never hurt the limo.
  • A beach ball rolls into the limo and bumps it one square to the side.
  • From level 10 watch the fuel. Drive over a green pump to fill right up.

A note for grown-ups

This game was built for our kids first. There is no timer and no score to beat before the clock runs down. Driving into a building is a soft bump and nothing more, the school bus stops and waits rather than crashing into anyone, and a beach ball only nudges the limo a square sideways.

From level 10 the limo needs gas, and running the tank dry sends it back to the start of that street. It is the one thing in the game that can undo a drive, the tank always holds far more than the shortest route needs, and there is a switch in Settings to turn it off completely. Speed, sound, on screen movement and traffic can all be turned down in the same place, and every choice is remembered on that computer.

The high score board keeps a first name and a number. Nothing else. We never ask a child for a last name, an email, or an age.

Want the real limo ride?

The limo in this game is the one we send to real front doors. At a V.I.P. Empowerment Night we pick our guests up, roll out the red carpet, and dance all night long.

The first 20 streets are here today. Come back each Monday and there will be another one waiting.
